Tribal Energy Resiliency and Equity. Renewable energy generation and storage for New Mexico pueblos via a $15.4M U.S. Department of Energy grant.
Hispanic Student Success. College and career preparation activities for underserved students in North Carolina and Washington states through 4H and positive youth development via an $8M U.S. Department of Agriculture grant.
Adolescent Health. Health education and health services for 24,000 students in Portland, Oregon via a $1.8M grant from the Centers for Disease Control (one of 28 projects funded nationally).
Tribal Clean Energy Investment. National investment in clean energy adoption and workforce development in tribal communities via a $400M EPA grant.
Energy Grid Resiliency. Georgia state electrical grid infrastructure and efficiency upgrades via a $250M U.S. Department of Energy grant (one of 58 projects funded nationally).
STEM Afterschool Initiative. City of Boston Mayor’s Education Cabinet STEM initiative for 2,000 students via a $3.9M U.S. Department of Education grant (one of 16 projects funded nationally).
Affordable Tribal Housing. Construction of 60 new housing units and workforce training in the building trades for tribal members via a $7.4M North Carolina state grant.
Supporting Women in STEM. $1M project to recruit and retain female professors in a southern state university system via National Science Foundation funding.
New York State Healthcare Delivery Reform. $10M project to address the state opioid epidemic through U.S. Health and Human Services grants to the New York State Department of Health and New York City health systems.
International Aid. $900,000 for maternal-child nutrition and school-hospital solar energy projects in Guatemala, Haiti, and Jamaica funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Public Defender Service Improvement. $460,000 U.S. Department of Justice award for statewide telejustice technology at the Maryland Office of the Public Defender.
Hawaiian Conservation. $2.8M multi-stakeholder conservation initiative to acquire and protect 4,469 acres of forested native songbird habitat, funded by National Wildlife Foundation.
Greener Denver Hotels. Carbon footprint reduction program via a $103,000 U.S. Environmental Protection Agency grant for Denver hotels to obtain Green Seal certification.
Housing Equity and Security. $900,000 U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development grant to the City of Chesapeake, Virginia and Los Angeles County to provide quality, safe, and affordable housing.
Family Drug Court. $450,000 to the Supreme Court of Georgia through the U.S. Dept. of Justice to provide drug treatment and parenting education to promote family reunification.
