Susan Perri, MPA

Founding Member and Principal

Susan believes that creating a just and equitable society while addressing the threats of climate change will be the greatest challenge of our and our children’s lifetimes. This leads her efforts to integrate the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and Drawdown principles in Social Goody’s work. Her rich experience allows her to align clients’ institutional strengths and resources with broader policy priorities for maximum impact.

Susan’s work includes the following:

  • Coordination with land trust executives to explore the impact of landowner tax credits on conservation easement donations. This work assessed how appropriate incentives can support public-private partnerships to enable a specific conservation agenda.
  • Consultant for the City and County of Denver (then Mayor Hickenlooper) to support Greenprint Denver and secure EPA funding for brownfields mitigation, greenhouse gas emissions reduction, clean energy initiatives, and Green Seal certification for hotels.
  • Facilitation of a multi-stakeholder conservation initiative with Hawaii Island Land Trust, The Nature Conservancy, Trust For Public Land, the United States Army, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, the Hawai’i State Division of Forestry and Wildlife, and the American Bird Conservancy to acquire and protect 4,469 acres of forested native songbird habitat.
  • Consultant for Hanover Research, a national research firm, assisting a wide range of clients in the public and private sectors, advising on fundraising, research, and policy matters, and providing capacity building trainings.
  • Federal grant peer reviewer for the U.S. Department of Education and the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services.
